Be My Valentine!

20 Jan

Here’s another Valentine for you! This one features the NEW single stamp, Be My Valentine, which was just introduced in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. Check out the beautiful Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Doesn’t it frame the focal point beautifully?

To create this card, begin with Very Vanilla Cardstock, cut to 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and folded in half with the fold on the left.

Emboss a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, using the Big Shot and the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. Ink up the Be My Valentine stamp really well with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink. Stamp the image at the center top of the top layer. Next, clean your stamp really well. After using Stampin’ Mist and Stampin’ Scrub, clean one last time by wiping the stamp across a piece of clean scrap paper or Grid Paper. You want a clean stamp before you move on.

Once the stamp is clean, use the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker, to color only the banner section of the stamp image. Stamp on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then grab your Paper Snips and cut out that banner. Attach it with little pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals (I used four…one at each end and two in the middle.) right over top of the Cherry Cobbler banner.

Use your Paper Snips to grab three little Basic Pearls Jewels, one at a time, and place them as shown above.

Finish off the top layer by wrapping a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding around the top layer, adhering with Snail Adhesive on the back side. With another piece of ribbon, tie a bow.  Almost done.

All that’s left is to attach the top layer to the base card with Snail. Done! Simple but elegant.

I left the inside blank so there’s lots of room to write a very special note to a very special person on a very special day!
