Elizabeth: A sophisticated Valentine

9 Feb

I love Elizabeth!

Elizabeth, is simply beautiful! This single stamp makes quite a statement on it’s own! Paired, as here, with the happy valentine’s day sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, it makes a sophisticated Valentine for a special guy or gal in your life.

This set is just one of many Sale-a-Bration gifts from which you may choose when you place a Stampin’ Up! product order of $50+ or host a Stampin’ Up! get-together with your friends (at which the sales total $300+). This offer is available now through March 31! Please contact me today to place your order or schedule your get-together…your place or mine!

To create this card:

  1. Cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Naturals Ivory card stock in half (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″). Fold in half to create a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card front.
  2. Top with a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock, cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″.
  3. The top layer is Naturals Ivory cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″. Before adhering, complete the following steps:
  4. With Basic Black Classic Ink, stamp the Elizabeth image on the top layer (smallest piece) of Naturals Ivory. To place the image where I did, just line up the edges of the wood block at the bottom right edges of the layer.
  5. Use the Scallop Oval Punch to punch a Cherry Cobbler scrap.
  6. Use Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink to ink up the happy valentine’s day sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (one of my favs!). Stamp onto scrap of Naturals Ivory.
  7. Punch out the sentiment with the 1-3/4″ x 7/8″ Oval Punch.
  8. Use your Snail to attach the Naturals Ivory oval (with sentiment) onto the Cherry Cobbler scallop oval. Then adhere where the oval is in the stamped Elizabeth image.
  9. Cut a piece of Basic Black 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon at 6-1/2″. Tie a knot in the middle. Dab both ends of the ribbon with Snail and attach to the back side of the top layer of Naturals Ivory.
  10. Your finished card! Don’t forget to sign the back of your creation; an artist ALWAYS signs her work!

Until we meet again, HAPPY STAMPIN’!
